Our products
Time Shift supplies two types of energy-storage system: the PowerSkid and EnergySkid. These are designed for mobile applications, while the larger EnergySkid is also highly suitable for ancillary services. Both systems are fully engineered in-house and supplied as a turnkey, user-friendly solution: they are placed on location, connected and ready for use.
The PowerSkid and EnergySkid are based on a modular construction that houses the battery modules and our own battery management system. We offer our systems for direct purchasing or on the basis of an operational lease. Our products are designed for a commercial life of 15 years, whereby the second-life batteries are replaced as needed every five to eight years.
Our software solutions
Time Shift has a unique software solution that gives our clients detailed, real-time insight into system performance and their power usage. Our smartphone application allows for remote control, automatic alerts and easy troubleshooting by suggesting possible solutions. In the rare case of a malfunction, an alert is sent through the system, allowing us to fully analyse and pinpoint the problem: right down to specific external issues, such as a blocked generator fuel filter. The software also provides insight into the natural degradation pattern, allowing us to schedule battery replacements or upgrades as required.
PowerSkid
The PowerSkid is a battery energy-storage system with a power output of 100 kW (performance) or 80 kW (endurance). It is specifically designed for mobile and other kinds of off-grid application, such as building sites, festivals, events, filming locations or off-grid electric vehicle charging stations. Our clients benefit from emission- and noise-free electric power on location and can schedule generator charging via our smart software. The PowerSkid is also available as a stationary version, which is not able to run off-grid. Each PowerSkid is fitted with second-life battery modules equivalent to three to six electric vehicles.
EnergySkid
The EnergySkid is a battery energy-storage system with a power output of 1.2 MW. It is primarily designed for ancillary services, such as Frequency Containment Reserve (FCR), unbalance trading, load shifting and peak shaving. The EnergySkid is also highly suitable for mobile, off-grid applications, such as at large construction sites with high power demands. Our clients benefit from emission- and noise-free electric power on location and can schedule generator charging via our smart software. Each EnergySkid is fitted with second-life batteries equivalent to 30 electric vehicles.
